This machine copes beautifully with multiple layers of heavy fabric without struggling, which my old machine would snag on. I've used this to sew heavy duty marine canvas, thick layers of denim and other similar fabrics, and the machine works through right them without labouring whilst maintaining an even stitch length. It is uncomplicated to use; I was able to switch vey quickly from my 30 year old Toyota to this Singer. It is a joy to use for heavy duty upholstery sewing, but will also accommodate lightweight fabrics with ease. My only complaint is the short cable length on the foot treadle, but this may be the same for most modern sewing machines. Singer dispatched the machine very quickly and it arrived in perfect condition.

Love this machine. Was delivered a day early which was a lovely surprise. Easy to use, had to watch a YouTube video to work out the automatic needle threader but now I know what I’m doing, it’s a doddle! Would highly recommend.

I'm a total beginner and it is so easy to use. My only gripe is the instruction manual (I'm autistic) it was a little trying but basically I googled it and and watched the tutorials on how to set the machine up. It's simple. I love that it comes with a few accessories and that the extendable table part has a little compartment to store it in. I wanted a singer as I remember my grandmother's black and gold one with the hand crank. I've been practicing different sitches and getting used to it. I'm going to be making my first garment soon.

What an absolutely brilliant machine....fast, easy to use, changing feet and filling the spool are so quick and hassle free. The best machine I have used in ages and Singer excels as usual. Would recommend to novices and experienced sewers alike.

What a wonderful machine. Bought as I was having trouble with my last machine and I am making my daughter's dress, bridesmaids' and flower girls' dresses for her wedding next month! It is quiet, smooth, easy to use and has so many features that I look forward to checking out at leisure after the wedding and I have some time for me.

I bought this to replace an old Singer I inherited from my mum. It does everything the old one did but better, quieter, lighter and faster. And there are new options to try like one step buttonholes and blind hemming, both work well. So far seems like the perfect machine for me.

I bought this machine to replace a Singer Saphire that I’d had for 35 years. It’s a solid machine with the stitch options I need. It sews smoothly and copes with a variety of fabric thicknesses. I love the needle threader. Very happy with it and hope it lasts as long as my old machine.

Good delivery time. Am very pleased with the machine, light to carry but fairly sturdy. I wish there was more in the way of instructions, will have to look up a lot of the details on line.
