My overlocker is not moving the fabric

Fixing an overlocker, which is not feeding the material properly.

Sewing foot pressure is too light - Adjust pressure on foot, using the large thumb screw on top of the overlocker head, directly above the presser foot. It needs more pressure on the foot, screw it clockwise, until the foot hight adjuster feed correct.

Stitch length set too small - If the stitch lenght is too short, it will cause the thread to bunch up, and the presser foot will not be able to move past this thread build up. Lengthen stitch length and sew anther seam.

Check condition of cutting knives - If the knives are blunt, or have not been adjusted correctly, and stopped cutting. The build up of fabric will stop the machine from stitching. Replace the blunt knives as required.

Check the differental feed adjustment - Is should be set in the middle setting for regulare seams while testing. This would not stop the overlocker from feeding the fabric alltogether, but having it set incorrectly will cause intermititant fabric feeding.
