The Singer Modern Quilter 8500Q is wonderful. It is incredibly easy to use and I would have no hesitation it recommending it to anyone. Also, buying it from Singer Sewing Machines UK saved me a great deal of money. There was a £352 difference between Singer and a famous high street retailer. The service and machine from Singer are both exceptional.

This machine is great for buttonholes but I find the normal stitches a bit off. I will have to keep at it until I am happy with the stitch. Going to try jeans on it. Usually use my pfaff for all sewing so this a bit of a novelty. Delivery was very good considering the stretch of water it had to cross. Overall well pleased with the machine.

So far I have only done repairs and had a play with this machine but it does look simple to operate. The needle threaded is a bonus. It is very light so is easy to take to craft classes. I am very pleased with it. Delivery was excellent too. Well done singer

Fabulous machine. Never tire of using it as it has so many features. You can create beautiful projects with all of the built in embroidery stitches, so much fun! Endless possibilities. Great aftercare service.

Very pleased with the machine. It was delivered as promised in good condition. I haven't had the chance to use it yet but it looks as if is certainly going to be able to do all the things I need it for. My last machine was bought in 1972 so a few changes since then.

I'm very pleased with this machine. It is sewing nicely, and so far has coped with light weight stretch cotton. I like the fact that we can adjust the pressure foot. Lots of machines nowadays don't have this facility. I have an expensive computerized sewing machine with all the bells and whistles, but it doesn't manage light stretch material ( Keeps eating the fabric ) or go over bulky seams! ( jams ) I would recommend this machine for a beginner sewer. The free gift was good too. I haven't used the scissors yet but the sewing kit has all you need to start sewing.

Just had a quick chance to try my new machine.Very easy to understand, threading simple all in all a joy to use, but i wouldn't expect anything less from Singer.
