I bought this sewing machine a few days ago to so some basic mending. It's easy to use. Actually, I did not read the manual, just watched the videos on the singer youtube channel and was ready to do my first sewing within the hour, including some jammed thread troubleshooting.

Very, very pleased both with the machine and the outstanding service from singermachines.co.uk. The machine was delivered within 24 hours of ordering and the customer service when I raised a query was wonderful. I have only practised some stitches at present but am very happy with it. I did struggle to do a sequence of letters but realised after much trial and error that you press the save button lightly initially but then twice. I am looking forward to many happy hours with this machine. My main reasons for buying from the company were the 10 years parts and labour guarantee (which was easy to register for)and the free carry case which is lovely and sturdy and beautifully made. I am very very happy as you may have gathered!

Really pleased with this machine. It has sailed through tough fabrics like denim and stitched tubes for a bag that my bigger machine refused to sew. It is fast too. It may not be the prettiest machine - I choose the battleship grey version - but it has quickly become the workhorse machine that I take out to my sewing group. Pleased I bought it.

Very pleased with my purchase, the machine does what I wanted it for and no doubt more. Setup was quick and simple and after many years I am back, sewing again. Doubly fortunate is that it shares accessories with my wife's Janome machine.

I went to my local sewing machine shop and spent time with the owner, discussing what, if they were me and money were no object, they would advise. They recommended me this machine over a Janome J3-24 as they felt it was more robust and in keeping with what they thought I needed and would need.

Absolutely love the machine and excellent customer service from Stephen who helped me to try and fix the machine when it arrived broken, and immediately sent out a replacement when it wasn't able to be fixed. Fab machine, very sturdy but works well on light fabrics, good if you're used to a Singer!

A robust machine with an excellent range of stitches. Ideal for a wide range of projects from dressmaking, craft and creative projects. Easy to follow instructions and set up. Taking time to test the full range of stitches and understand how the machine works is well worthwhile. A good range of accessories that can be added to when needed. Very happy and looking forward to enjoying creating projects in the years ahead. Delivery and communication were excellent and the machine was well packaged.

I wanted a straightforward, well-built sewing machine, not computerised, able to cope with upholstery projects as well as more delicate stuff (dressmaking, clothes alterations). My current machines (Bernina and Janome) are both over 20 years old, are well-used and I need something newer. The 5-star rating is a proviso as I have not had the machine long enough to evaluate it properly, but it looks promising.

I bought this machine to replace my old singer sewing machine which was over 45 years old. This machine is very similar with improvements. As I am over 70 years of age I wanted a machine similar to my old one. I am very happy with my purchase. The needle threader is great.

The machine was delivered quickly and came well packed. It came with free accessories apart from the basic accessories. It is light weight and sew very well, I love the fact that it sew through heavy fabric with ease. I bought the extension table with it and I’m glad with both. I will highly recommend the machine to both beginner and experienced sewers.
