Fantastic sewing machine. My first machine ever, as I never had the opportunity of using one. I am learning to sew. The instructions are very clear. I was frightened of the machine when opening the box. Now I am practicing the different stitches and enjoying the progress. Very quick delivery. Very happy with the purchase

Bought machine to handle heavier fabric - those sitiations where you have to sew through multiple layers of denim/cord etc. It seems very sturdy and seems to perform well on my test samples. Did manage to break a needle but that I think was because I was attempting to sew a very thick ridge of multi-layered fabric and that is when you need to use the provided clearance plate. It lacks the frills of an electronic machine - all manual - but nevertheless provides most of the sewing options required. The online manuals could be more helpful. eg don't forget to increase the stitch width from zero if you are doing zig-zag stitches. Singermachines responded quickly to my queries, machine arrived v.quickly and no unnecessary packaging - a good price too.

There are many different stitch types that work for every scenario. It help with overlock tasks as well, there are multiple settings for different fabric types as well (Overlock Stretch, zigzag..). I have been using it for months now and haven't had any issues. Easy to carry and move around.

I unpacked my machine at the weekend. I was slightly nervous as I had my previous machine for about 35 years. The machine is simple to operate, it is a question of getting more practice with the on off button and the speed. I have not used many functions yet. So far, I am impressed. The machine is very lightweight which surprised me. Looking forward to experimenting on my patchwork projects.

Omg the best machine I have ever had. I have always had a certain make( not to name). But decided on a new machine. Iv had mine a week now and i love it. There's no trouble sewing thick fabrics with wadding any more. I love the stop and start has i can't use a foot peddle. The scissor button well that's a game changer. The knot button and the fantastic needle threader. What can I say. Highly recommend this machine

I bought this machine because my other Singer was very old and had become a bit erratic. This machine is sufficient for my needs and easy to use. It stood unopened for a few weeks until I was able to try it but I was not disappointed.

I like the machine because it is solid and easily handles layers of fabric. I like that I can drop the feed dogs to enable me to do free motion embroidery. I also like that it came with a good selection of feet and it has a variety of different stitches.

I have used Singers all my life and owned my first machine as a 21st Birthday present....1976! I am finding a few jobs I would like to do, retirement and less money to pay a dressmaker made me explore getting a new machine. Sewing by hand is getting more difficult with aging hands. I have also lost weight and need to adjust many of my clothes. I am thrilled at its simplicity and ease of use. Having arthritic joints, I really appreciate how light the machine is.

I am on day five on getting to know this machine and how to sew. I am brand new to the hobby. So far I have made a pin wristlet, a pencil case with zip, a cushion cover and an apron. This machine is utterly brilliant. It is simple to use and to set up. The automatic needle threader is a revelation! There are a few good YouTube videos on this machine. It is brilliant.
