I've only had this machine a few days so not played with it much up to now. It threads easy and seems to work well. Plenty of stitches to experiment with. I have used it on denim and it doesn't seem to be any trouble going through 4 layers at once. So far, I'm happy with it.

I purchased this machine to replace my very old slow and tired sewing machine, and what a difference it has made. It's a very good quality made machine and so quiet compared to my old one, robust and well built. Very easy and simple instructions and would highly recommend.

It is my second singer sewing machine as my original one has served me proud over many many years. This new one has a lot to live up to and so far it's brilliant. I love the automatic needle threader as it threads first time whereas when I try to thread the machine I can have several goes and then need to call for help. I have not tried all the stitches and I am still working at my pace to learn how to operate it but it seems pretty simple so far. It was delivered as expected at a cost less or at least comparable with many other suppliers. The free gift was a really nice bonus.

We bought it to replace my industrial machine and the wife's old table top singer as both were not used often. It works well for the both of us my occasional upholstery and the wife's projects.

This machine is definitely more robust than the other singer machine I have. Functionality is good, have tried out some but not all of it yet. Unlike other machines in the singer range this one has "teeth" that can be dropped rather than just covered for free machine embroidery. So another plus. Price was good ie the most competitive on the net at the time I bought it. 4423 is the slightly better of the heavy duty models. Speed of sewing is fast but didn't seem too fast. My other machine which would be a direct comparative from the non heavy duty was also quite fast. Overall worth the extra money for what seems to be a better machine.

I have just used the heavy duty sewing machine two days ago and is please to say it does the work. The only thing I'm not happy with is the foot pedal is too light and also moves all over the place. The other thing is I miss my solid plastic cover which I had for my 514. Might have the feeder repair that's all the fault

This machine replaced a Bernina 830 Electronic that I have had for 37 years. I've never used a computerised sewing machine before but I didn't find the Singer 9960 complicated. I used it the day it arrived; found the instruction book easy to follow and the machine is very quiet in operation. The machine came with lots of accessories and the additional complementary gifts were a very nice surprise and very much appreciated. I have not dealt with this company before but I found them very professional. They provided good communication and the delivery was very quick and completed as advised. I will buy from them again: highly recommended.
