This is one of the gears that alway seams to get damaged with the machine jams. It is the gear set that drives the hook unit on the Singer 400, 500, 6000 and 7000 series sewing machines. Free UK delivery on all orders over £30

We recommend using this gear set #103361 and #163997 for smoother running and less noise its best to replace both gears at the same time. The new gears may differ from the above image. This set replaces gear part number #382879000 which drives the hook.

Fix the problem, easy to fit and prompt delivery. Much cheaper than calling an engineer. So all good me thinks.

Fast supply service, easy to fit, worked perfectly. BUT, as others have mentioned, re-timing instructions would be good, particularly for those not familiar with sewing machine mechanics.

The gears were just what I wanted and arrived within 2 days by post at a reasonable cost. The new gears are well made and a perfect fit. A set of timing instructions would have been handy but I did find some on a google search. I needed a set of AF hexagon allen keys for the old gears & a metric set for the new gears.

Had a quote for doing this repair of £130, including the gears. Order the parts from Singer Machines for £22.50 and completed the repair. The brilliant service I received from Singer Machines made this really worth while repair and I have never worked on a sewing machine before.

Used to complete a repair on a Singer 513. Should have ordered these in the first place as having replaced the other gears, these ones showed themselves to be in similarly bad condition and broke when adjusting the timing. Speedy service and good quality parts. Machine is now up and running again. Thank you.

The gears arrived in good time, I have fitted them and all is working well. I was a little surprised that the gears I received were 'straight toothed' and not 'bevelled' as shown in the illustration, as I assumed that the ones pictured were an improved design.

Very pleased with the Singer hook drive gear set. Arrived very quickly to me here in France and was very straight forward to fit. My local repair shop had quoted between 200 and 250 Euros for a repair (more than the cost of a new machine!) so I was more than delighted to be able to fix it myself for around £26. Thanks again for your prompt service and excellent product.

We use DPD, UPS, UK Mail and Parcel Force with pick-ups twice a day. UK next working day delivery for large items which are usually shipped the same day where possible if ordered before 1pm.
