Singer Foot Control/Motor Capacitor
This part is called a capacitor or often called a condenser, its is used inside the foot control of a sewing machine, or its motor or inside the off/on switch. From time to time it will burn out and need to be replaced, usually when it burns our you will get a strong smell with a puff of smoke.
We will not list the machines this will fit as there are thousands, if you need advice please call us.
This capacitor is approx 17mm x 10mm x 4 mm deep. It most probably will not look the same shape as the original one you need to replace, but it will do the same job when fitted correctly.
Also please note, because this part is now not manufactured by a sewing machine manufacture it is sourced else where and may have shorter leads than the image or original. The short lead type is ideal for fitting on to motor PCB's, but the leads may need to be extended for fitting into foot controls.

Great service, very quick delivery. 5 minutes to solder in place and job done ... working foot pedal again!!

Exactly what I needed - simple to fit and fast delivery even during the current crisis. Recommended.

Searched Google on why the sewing machine was constantly running. Checked the capacitor on my foot controller and found it was short circuit. Ordered the capacitor from Singer and fitted it in minutes. Machine now fixed and running as normal. Impressed with the reasonable prices and delivery charges. Delivery took a little longer than expected, but Bank Holiday may have had a bearing on this, plus the additional load on Royal Mail due to Covid-19. Thank you Singer Machines for the excellent service.

Great website, easy to find what I needed and really low prices. I ordered on a Friday lunch time and it was with me on Monday morning! What more can I say its superb service. Thank you.

Found this site via a Google search on why the foot pedal had stopped working. All the previous reviews confirmed I had the same problem, a burnt-out capacitor, and that the item listed here would almost certainly fix my machine, which it did. Very impressed by the reasonable prices for the capacitor and for delivery. On my model the capacitor had to be soldered in place, a simple-enough job. From other reviews it seems many models are even easier as the capacitor simply screws into place.
Thank you SingerMachines for your excellent service. -

Very pleased, part arrived after two days. I had the same problem, machine running at full speed and smoke coming from foot pedal. Now my 50 year singer is working thanks to your site and reading reviews.
