The touch button system is very good and easy to use but the only criticism I have on this machine is that I find it quite noisy when running.

A very attractive machine that literally does what it says on the box. The machine was very easy to thread and had some very attractive embroidery stitches. Was a bit noisy compared to some modern machines but having worked for many years in the sewing industry this isn't an issue. My only concern at the moment are those very pretty gold transfers on the machine which may wear off in time. But other than that I cannot fault this machine at all. Offers plenty of room for quilt projects and has a nifty draw with ample space for tools, scissors and machine accessories.

I bought this machine as a complete beginner and it was the one being used on a you tube tutorial. I was frightened of sewing machines and genuinely thought I would never be able to sew. Well due to the simplistic nature of this sewing machine, I have made some bunting for my grandaughter and havent looked back, it is so simple to use, yet has all the features for a more advanced person. II would highly recommend it. The price was the best on the internet with a free gift to boot!

Sew far sew good! Bought the Singer Confidence 7463 recently after 30+ years of owning a Singer 746 Touch & Sew. Had to be persuaded by my husband to update and treat myself to a new machine after so many years. Still love the Touch & Sew, but the Singer Confidence 7463 is starting to win me round and appears to be fairly simple to use. Haven't used it much yet but so far am impressed. Can't wait to try out all the decorative stitches. Thanks for a speedy delivery and on-line discount.

I did a massive amount of research online before replacing my 40 year old Singer machine with this one. It has all the features I wanted at a superb price. I phoned the company on a Saturday, got a live expert who gave good advice, and was promised free delivery on a 24 hour service. Good machine, great value for money and an amazing service, together with TWO free gifts. I'm going to order some extra presser feet from these people - they sure do deserve to get all my future business.

Delivery service was excellent, Opened the box to find already working machine, fantastic, no fiddling around! Clear instruction manual, very pleased i chose a singer! Would definable recommend singer ! Free £50 gift a little disappointing, the threads sent were not usable on my new overlocker, more of a travel pack. But well pleased with the scissors as they are razor sharp.

I like the 160 sewing machine. I like its simplicity to use. The fact that is lightweight. I miss some of the facilities on the more sophisticated machines. But I still think it is a nice machine. I have put one of my more expensive machines away and intend to use this one for my ordinary sewing.

Very pleased with this machine, I have had a singer machine for over 30 years now but sadly it deceased while in the middle of a project so needed an immediate replacement. Saw this one in Argos and found it £50 cheaper at singermachines and it was delivered next day!! I found it easy to use - the self threading needle a brilliant feature and the buttonhole attachment much improved on my old machine. Finished the project which was pretty much standard sewing and have now used it for heavy duty work and again it has done a good job. This is a good basic machine - the only negative thing so far, is it only comes with a dustcover but it fits in my old machine hard case so not a problem for me. However, does have a carry handle on the top which makes it very easy to move around.

I upgraded to this machine from one I'd had for 25 years. From the minute I started using it I felt I had just arrived from another planet!! Computerised. Automatic tension and needle threader - which I've yet to master! (not a lover of manuals - think I need to be shown) Great selection of stitches, press button reverse, an absolute joy to use. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

This is my first machine and I am really enjoying using it. It's the perfect weight and I'm getting on with it very well. The bobbin is really easy but the auto threader is much more difficult to use than threading by hand...if there is a knack of doing it I would love to know what it is. Its no biggy as I'm having a great time sewing -)) Emily

I am very happy with my purchase. As I do embroidery as well, now I can sew when I want without changing to my other machine all the time. Sue
