I have only just started to use the two items I purchased, and upon opening properly found that the guide piece is missing. I have used the foot now, and it is fine, just what I needed, though I'm sure the guide would be useful - which is why I ordered this one in particular. As I didn't pick up that it was missing until just a day or two ago, I didn't feel I could complain - I should have done that sooner I suppose.

Great website as each item states which model it`s compatible with, so no ordering of wrong part. Open embroidery foot is much easier to use than closed one as you can see where your pattern lines are. Practice will make perfect I hope!
