Just like its partner models in the very latest Tradition range, this Singer 2273 has all the functions, reliability, quality, and strength, plus it offers extra features.
It is more suitable for users that want to do more dressmaking. It covers a slightly different selection of stitches. It does have the straight stretch stitches as explained on the 2263 page, however, the 2273 has a one-step button system, which is suited to users that need precisely measured buttonholes for each button. Perfect professional-looking buttonholes every time and each buttonhole will be the exact same size as the last, thanks to the unique button measuring system used by the machine and foot.
We also like the horizontal spool pin to stop thread twisting when sewing at fast speeds. It has a fast way to thread needles with the built-in automatic needle threader. When winding the bobbin the handwheel is automatically disengaged to stop the needle from moving whilst winding thread onto the bobbin. When the bobbin is full it will stop.
The Singer 2273 uses the simple front-loading 15k type bobbin system. It gives plenty of room to access the bobbin case once the sleeve arm accessory storage plate has been removed. Its electronic foot control helps you maintain control at all times.
The 2273 sewing machine is capable of doing many types of stitching projects. It comes with a feed cover plate, so free-motion embroidery is possible. Patchwork can be sewn thanks to the patchwork guide which is included. Heavy curtains or multiple layers of denim are not a problem to this ridged aluminum framed sewing machine and electronic foot control.
Where does the 2273 excel over its other competitors in the Tradition range.? Personally, I would say the one-step buttonholes are a great addition to this machine.
