Singer Confidence 7463 Sewing Machine

I am a complete beginner and have already built so much confidence from the ease of use with this machine. The instructions are so easy to follow, the service upon getting this machine was second to none, I really went for it for its simple and easy to use aspect, but it keeps up with the rest in style and versatility. One very happy bunny!!!!

Excellent service ordered Saturday delivered on Tuesday, and free delivery. Machine great value for money, can't believe how many features it has, I wouldn't say I'm an experienced sewer mainly curtain, cushion and repairs and more recently quilting, yet I found the manual very easy and straight forward to follow. This machine has really made my singer 1012 model look like an antique, just hope it's going to be as reliable as my old machine never had a problem in the 24yrs, that was another reason why I went for another singer machine. Not sure why other people are saying machine is noisy in previous reviews mine purrs in comparison to my old machine. Possibly if there was a negative I would have to agree with what other reviews and that the cover is very flimsy in comparison to the sturdiness of the machine itself. All in all I am well pleased, perhaps I might even become a bit more adventurous with my sewing now I have all these new stitches and features at the push of a button. Perhaps I'll have a go at making a cover for the machine.

I'm enjoying the machine so far, have only had it a few days but I've sussed out all the things it can do and had a good play around. Made a cushion cover one side of which is chunky wool and it handled that like a dream. Put buttons on the back to fasten too which I have never done before and it was so easy as the instructions are easy to follow. Can't wait to do lots more stuff. I have not tried any quilting on it yet. The price was a bargain and the service excellent especially as we live in the Highlands usually have to put up with extortionate surcharges for delivery, so well done to the guys at SingerMachines.co.uk who realize that they should value custom from all over. I'm a very happy Bunny!

Used these to teach with in school. I likes them so much I bought one for myself. Easy to set up and use. Great variety of decorative stitching. Love the needle threader. Kids found them easy to use and thread even with no experience of using a sewing machine before. I am disappointed with the machine's cover which is flimsy and has nowhere to put the lead and foot when transporting around.

I was so happy with this sewing machines I can now make my christmas sacks.

This is my 5th sewing machine since I started sewing/dressmaking at 11 yrs old! I have a Janome which is still very functional but was getting very frustrated with needle threading, so much so that getting it out to sew seemed a chore.
On researching various machines and visiting a local Brother stockist, I decided on this beautifully built machine, with needle threader and at a great price. To be honest the free gifts I could do without as my own accessories are excellent quality but they will go to my daughters who at 28 and 31 are just getting their own machines though have borrowed mine for a few years. There will be no lending of my new machine, its my treasured possession and I've already made designer cushions and patchwork materials bought and ready to go! I would recommend the machine for ease of use and your service but alas Parcelforce didn't find me on day one but easily sorted with help from supplier and myself.

Bought for my wife as a birthday present but so easy to use that I had it set up & tested in a few minutes. Wife is delighted.

The touch button system is very good and easy to use but the only criticism I have on this machine is that I find it quite noisy when running.

I bought this machine as a complete beginner and it was the one being used on a you tube tutorial x I was frightened of sewing machines and genuinely thought I would never be able to sew x well due to the simplistic nature of this sewing machine, I have made some bunting for my grandaughter and havent looked back, it is so simple to use, yet has all the features for a more advanced person x I would highly recommend it, the price was the best on the internet with a free gift to boot!

Sew far sew good! Bought the Singer Confidence 7463 recently after 30+ years of owning a Singer 746 Touch & Sew. Had to be persuaded by my husband to update and treat myself to a new machine after so many years. Still love the Touch & Sew, but the Singer Confidence 7463 is starting to win me round and appears to be fairly simple to use. Haven't used it much yet but so far am impressed. I upgraded to this machine from one I'd had for 25 years. From the minute I started using it I felt I had just arrived from another planet!! Computerised. Automatic tension and needle threader - which I've yet to master! (not a lover of manuals - think I need to be shown) Great selection of stitches, press button reverse, an absolute joy to use. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

I am very happy with my purchase.
as I do embroidery as well, now I can sew when I want without changing my other machine all the time.

I had already decided to buy a 7463 sewing machine and reading the reviews only confirmed my decision to buy it, and im glad i did, the instruction booklet is easy to follow, i found it really easy to use, love the embroidery stitches, very quiet machine compared to my old one, highly recommended.

A brilliant machine. Bought it as an upgrade from a 1970's machine, and wow what a difference. I actually think I might be able to sew something now, at a nice slow pace, the old one went at break neck speed with no in between! Hence my lines were never straight! The stitches this new one does amazes me. Def. recommend.

A fantastic machine! I'm in love with it already. As a total beginner, I've got a fair way to go yet, but I managed to knock up an alice band on my first go which speaks volumes about how good this sewing machine is. It also does a wonderful flashy light thing when you switch it on! ;)

Very happy with this machine,up to now ,though its only being tested on scrap material and I haven't actually sewn up anything. Having decided to upgrade from my old Jones sewing machine, this is a delight. Its so easy to use once set up, the only difference compared to the old Jones S/M is that I found the foot tread a bit flimsy and of poor quality but i can live with that as the sewing machine itself is really nice and by the press of a button you have all the different designs of stitch to choose from. The service from this company is very good. Delivery is very fast, got mine next day and the price is great too. Also came very professionally wrapped, with free scissors and a lovely sewing pack to start you off. I was overwhelmed as I had just seen it demonstrated in a local shop before I decided to purchase and it was £299.00. So the price of Sewing Machine Sales definately gave me the plunge to buy. I wasnt going to bother as my old machine is still in working order. The freebies were a bonus.. would definately buy from this company again.

I have just received my new Singer 7463 machine and I realise that my old machine would probably have done almost everything that my new one does had the manual been as clear and explicit as this one.Delivery was fast and efficient which was a real bonus as living in Spain it is not always easy to buy good quality goods especially with english instructions . I am still 'playing' with my new machine but I know that it and I are going to become soul mates very soon now.(it is much smoother and quieter than my previous machine)

I am 67 years old and have had two Singer machines during my adult life. They served me well. Unfortunately, when my old singer packed up I decided to go computerized with a different brand. What a mistake!!!! It was nothing but trouble and so temperamental. I had it five years, and am pleased to say that when it gave up the ghost I returned to the brand I trust. Yes, Singer!! I have only had my Singer Confidence for a few weeks, but am delighted with it. It is quiet, efficient and not the least bit temperamental. Of course, it was recommended by Which? magazine. What more can I say?

A good machine, lots of nice stitches, you have to have a good play with this machine to master them all. really easy to thread and get started. The needle threader is easy. Lots of control on the foot peddle and it has been sewing through 6 layers of fabric all week with no problems. The one negative i have is it lets out a funny noise every now and again which doesnt effect it sewing and doesn't seem to happen for any reason but is a little off putting. VERY FAST DELIVERY.

Have been sewing for 40 years and this is by far my favourite machine. Have bought ******* in the past but am very pleased to find this one at such a bargain and so easy to use. Excellent.

Very happy with machine, it is easy to use. Does everything well, it's great only having to press a button to change the stitch and it's a dream when you need a buttonhole pick the button and it will make the hole to fit.

Excellent, easy to use machine. I have been looking for a long time to get my first machine and this one is really perfect. Very easy to get up and get going, I have already made 4 sets of new curtains and I have only had the machine a week! Super fast deliver also.

My old Singer is still in working order but I fancied a more up-to-date machine. This new Singer is very easy to use . In fact my 15 year old grandaughter , an inexperienced sewer was soon using it with confidence. The button holer was easy to use, and gave good results.

at first glance this machine appears very sturdy it was bought for using with heavier fabrics and seems to be the right choice but have not as yet been able to fully put it through its full paces but am confident it will cope with what I require it to do

So far, I'm finding my new Singer sewing machine extremely good! It hasn't broken down at all and the bobbin hasn't got stuck. It has an automatic tension so you just leave it off and it knows what tension to change to for each stitch!

I love my new Singer Confidence. I had before a Lewenstein but this is such a improvement. The manual is English of course but I hope they can send me a Dutch one because some names and items are difficult to translate. I will advise this machine and shop to my family members and friends.

I love my Singers, I inherited a 1928 15k treadle years ago and it has served me well. I decided to treat myself and this was the model I settled on. Very happy. I find it straight forward and would recommend it. Not planning on mothballing my beloved treadle any time soon though :-D

Delivery was super quick, machine is very easy to use, have turned up curtains following the instruction s in the book even managing to do a blind hem.

i love my new new machine. its as it says easy to be confident i am a total beginer and i am not terrified of the machine , its so easy to opperate and i play around with the stiches untill i am happy to start . if like me the only sewing you have ever done was a disaster at school but want to try it at home this machine will give you all you will ever need and is so easy to operate . this was my gift to me for xmas and i am over the moon. the delivery was next day from order excellent.

My new Singer Confidence 7463 is the best machine I have ever used. It stitches brilliantly on all types of fabric and all thicknesses. Turn up jeans - no problem! I have been trying all makes of machine for nearly six months and I can honestly say this one is an absolute gem the very best. I am over the moon with it

I absolutely love this sewing machine.
It can do it all from thin to bulky.I read some bad reviews on it and I cant find any thing what so ever wrong with this machine.I am an experienced seamstress,having worked for 34 years sewing.I love all the features on it, especially the needle threader.
For the price you cant beat it. Maybe someone that was a beginner and didnt take time to watch the video or read the book posted those reviews,but for me I love this machine.

I am very happy with this machine, its so easy to use and the needle threader is brilliant and I dont have to oil it a job I did not like with my old machine, it runs smoothly and quietly and sewed through three thicknesses of denim easily.

Another good feature is the button to do reverse sewing, at the begining and end of the work.

The choice of stitches are great Im having fun experimenting with this machine I have many happy hours of sewing in front of me

Having just completed a Soft Furnishing course consisiting of curtains to cushion covers, this machine was absolutely brilliant. It took all thicknesses with ease, ample bobbin quantity and so very easy to master and understand.
