This is the sewing cabinet with the wide opening to fit the larger style long bed sewing machine often used for quilting or embroidery. The Horn 1052 Outback allows centre of the needle sitting position, so you are directly in front of the needle when sewing.
It uses seven easy rolling castors, are attached to a specially designed reinforced frame giving a very steady sewing platform even when stitching at speed.
The 3 step soft touch air lift system means all that is needed is a gentle push to move the sewing machine from storage to flatbed to free arm position. Because its the maxi lifter (#1932) at 61.5cm wide it will virtually all Singer sewing machines on the market no matter what age.
Viewing the image you can see how much space is offers. It includes the see through accessory storage bins attached to the doors. The doors are recessed under the lid by means of a specially constructed angled door hinge system this allows your fabric to drape down without catching or disturbing the door accessory trays. Also a handy magazine compartment with dividing shelf which adds even more storage.
The large work area at the rear of the machine lifts up easily when needed. If not used it sits flat down the rear of the cabinet, so does not need to be used if it is not required. It has a very sturdy gate leg design with Quilters/Patchworkers in mind but is ideal for all sewing projects. The work surface is fitted with flush mounted non snag hinges and soft formed bevelled edging to the tops.
In side the cabinet is a special holder for your machine insert.
The Maxi Outback comes fully assembled. It is beautifully finished front to back, inside and out.
When fully closed it measures 83.5cm x 56cm deep and 76cm high. The Outback is available in two colours Beech and Medium Oak as below.
